Supporting Those Affected by ALS

Can you imagine loosing control of your body’s movement? Having your body loose communication with your brain? This is the news that an average of 15 people in the US receive a day, when being diagnosed with ALS (Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis). This disease can strike anyone, and once it does, you get an average of 2-5 years left to live.

 Supporting Those Affected by ALS

This terrible disease attacks the nerve cells and pathways in the brain and spinal cord. These cells eventually die, and voluntary muscle control and movement also dies with them. Most of the time, people’s minds remain alert and sharp, but their bodies’ can eventually become paralyzed and eventually be the cause of death.
