Helping Fulfill The Bellies Of Homeless Families This Holiday Season!

Our agency wants to donate $10 on YOUR behalf to help erase the impact of homelessness on children and their education. At Corey Hinson & Associates, we have joined A Child’s Place in their mission to support students facing chaos, instability and countless additional barriers such as depression, anxiety and hunger as a result of their homelessness.

There are 4,000 homeless children in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. Children in homelessness are at greatest risk of chronic absenteeism, which leads to dropping out before high school graduation and only 17% of children chronically absent kindergarten through second grade read at grade level in third grade. A Child’s Place enrolls a new caseload of students and families each year as they become homeless. Last year, A Child’s Place helped students and families attending Title 1 schools in CMS, having a family income below federal poverty level and 95% of them came from single-female heads-of-household with limited education.

A Child’s Place provides critical support and referrals to children and their families experiencing this homeless crisis throughout the year, to help them exceed in school. This holiday season, the organization is having a Feed A Family gift card drive in which they will collect $30 gift card donations to Food Lion or Walmart to give to their clients before Thanksgiving and Christmas so that they are able to purchase items for a holiday meal for their family. Join our agency and help us lift a little bit of that financial burden and provide a sense of normalcy by ensuring they will have a holiday meal!

Our agency will donate $10 to A Child’s Place on your behalf for every recommendation you send our way, and we’ll add you to our monthly drawing for a $50 Gift Card.

They just need to receive a quote- no obligation to purchase.

Getting involved has never been so simple, or Free!
